The first deadly Kenya road accident happened as a bus with a driver in an attempt to overtake two trucks on Village Gilgil (northwest of Nairobi) road smashed the two trucks. It was very deadly and terrible leading to the death of 19 lives on the spot.

This accident was really a grievous one as it set the Kenya’s National Transport and Road Safety under extreme pressure and array. The horrific accident which took place on the Jamhuri Day occurred in Bungoma as the NTSA was chasing the tractor after breaching road safety laws leading to the death of over 40 people.

This accident was very horrific and leading to stronger road safety regulations enacted by the Kenya National Road Safety Authority. The accident occurred as the bus was over speeding and driving in the wrong lane and was later crashed in by the lorry trying to overtake as well. The accident was very fatal taking the lives of 36 people on the spot with 2 people being injured.
